Link Shortener
Paste a long URL and get a compact y… link on ve.ms (lowercase y plus your code). Before the first visit we can show a short safety screen with the real destination, TLS information, and the resolved host IP. You choose how long the link stays valid.
Create a short link
While logged in you can manage your links below (edit, delete) within your account limit. Donors get a higher cap, Forever expiry, optional instant redirect (skip safety screen), and safety page themes. Support ve.ms and redeem a code on Account.
Security & transparency
Short links can hide the final destination. Our default safety interstitial shows the real URL, whether it uses HTTPS, and a DNS resolution of the hostname so you can make an informed choice before leaving ve.ms. Automatic redirect happens after about twelve seconds, or immediately when you press OKAY.
We log click counts and enforce expiry and one-time rules you select. Reports from the safety page are stored for abuse review. We do not sell link analytics.
Account & donor extras
- Logged-in — list, edit, and delete your own links within an account limit (higher for donors).
- Forever (donors) — links without an expiry date.
- Instant redirect (donors) — optional skip of the safety screen for trusted targets you control.
- Theme picker (donors) — light screen without stars, or dark palettes with a sparse pixel starfield.

Link format
All public URLs are a lowercase y immediately followed by lowercase letters and digits only (e.g. ya7, yk9m2). We allocate the shortest free random code, starting at two characters after the y.
